YOU can work at Daresbury Park Hotel – here are the roles available.
The hotel was closed to the public for more than five years while it was acquired by the Home Office to house migrants.
But it was announced during the by-election last May that this contract would be ending.
In December, Elite Venue Selection, which operates the hotel, confirmed that the site would reopen as a four-star venue in March following a multi-million-pound renovation.
The whole hotel will officially open this month, however parts of it such as the coffee lounge, bedroom, bar and restaurant and event spaces are already up and running.
And the hotel has now revealed that it is hiring for its growing team.

Room attendant
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring bedrooms are cleaned and ready for our guests in a timely manner
- Working as part of a team and assisting in various housekeeping tasks as required
- Reporting any maintenance repairs to the Head Housekeeper
- Assisting in maintaining order in the linen room
- Providing the highest standard of customer service
Sales manager
Your duties will include:
- Organizing and supporting the sales team so that they are knowledgeable about the hotel and provide excellent customer service at every point of communication.
- Managing incoming inquiries, from conversion through to a seamless handover to our operations team on the day of the event.
- Overseeing all event paperwork while coordinating with all relevant hotel departments to ensure every department understands all requirements.
- Recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue, conversion, and drive repeat business through proactive and reactive sales.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with both new and existing customers.
Duty manager
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring the smooth running of the hotel in the manager’s absence
- Assisting all departments as and when required.
- Providing excellent customer service to our guests.
- Being confident in managing various situations
- Overseeing different departments when needed
General manager
Your duties will include:
- Leading the hotel team by effectively managing the operations and sales team, ensuring each department is supported and consistent in providing a high standard of service.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for operational improvement and revenue growth.
- Ensuring the hotel maintains compliance with industry standards and all health and safety requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing the guest experience while increasing revenue through innovative offerings and promotions.
- The Ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience as a hotel general manager
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate a large team
- A strong background in event management and managing venue spaces, with the ability to drive successful weddings and events as well as corporate bookings.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service ensuring each of our guests has a memorable stay.
Line cook
Your duties will include:
- Preparing high-quality food, following the guidance of our Head Chef.
- Assisting in the preparation and service of meals for various menus.
- Adhering to our stock control procedures.
- Working effectively as part of a busy team.
- Adding your own unique flair and creativity to your dishes.
